imagine he comes on loan and to try and prove pep wrong he does step-overs in his box and we concede 10 goals every game, awful

I am suggesting a goalkeeper whom believes actually keeping the ball out the net is his absolute priority would be of more benefit to us than one whom is thinking about what he is to do with the ball next before he has even thwarted the attackers.
That way lies madness and self inflicted goals against.
But that's just me.......dear Ol' Farmer Khal![]()

Then again playing behind Kone and Williams, he might keep up those impressive stats of clean sheets. And they get away with not having a Maldini because they are not attacked much compared to other teams.
I repeat.....it is a fact which would mean a heck of a lot more happen it was someone keeping goal for Wigan or Everton during the past six years.
Keeping net for City during that period?
No big deal.
BTW....I am not saying that to undermine Joe's credentials.
I am all in favour of EFC signing him up. He is better than owt we have now and would immediately improve the team IMO.
And keeping clean sheets at Everton will be both more impressive and harder to achieve![]()
You're wrong Christopher
Ah Montague, how I do enjoy your rapier wit on occasion!
Not convinced by Hart at all of late...BUT !! he is a big name (in footballing terms) Would be seen by the press as a bit of a coup.
So for that reason, That reason alone...I am on the fence, Wood firmly placed in cheeks and I don't care who knows it.
But how can you not want to watch a keeper stand stationary and roll it out to a centre back standing on the corner of the box, who then stands stationary and passes directly back when closed down by a striker, thus resulting in the keeper leathering the ball upfield anyway when the whole team is 20 yards further back than they need to be? That's proper football.
