I think that not be completely true. Players use that line all the time to at least partially explain why the left one club to join another.

Bolasie said on joining Everton that Lukaku had been onto him to come to Everton, but everybody knows that Lukaku himself had/has been eyeing an Everton exit for some time.

I was wondering how Rom came such great mates with Bolasie and also with Pogba.

There seems no connection between them.

All from different countries so they wouldn't have gone through the same schoolboy football systems.

They have never played together ar youth international level.

Never been at the same club's academy as far as I know....nor ever even been at the same club at a senior level.

And in the case of Rom and Pog, never even lived in the same locality (until now).

Lukaku and Bolasie I imagine lived near each other in London. Also, both of Congolese descent?

Pogba and Rom have the same agent

And did Rom himself not say when he joined us on loan in 2013 that Kev was very instrumental in his decision to come here over a return to Baggies?

He doesn't have to insult Everton in the process though. Moyes tried that. Look where that got him.
