Just seen some favourability polling. Trump positive 39, Biden 51, interestingly though Pence 38% and Harris 45% (and hers overall is 8% against + 7% of Biden).

I suppose the point would be, the mistakes happened a long time before 2016 with the lackof successional planning.

To some degree that is hard though. Obama is very much a one off. Guys like him, or indeed Bill Clinton don't grow on trees. There was a strong sense of entitlement for HIlary Clinton that she would run so you could ay successional planning went out of the window somewhat.

I think any attempt by the DNC to succession plan this cycle would have backfired spectacularly as it would have been seen as “rigging” the election - Sanders and Warren would not have been tapped for age reasons alone if nothing else and that would have understandably annoyed their supporters.

Either way, VP favourability rarely has a huge impact.

It’s truly astonishing that 39% of people still reckon Trump is doing a good job. Quite frightening that they walk around looking (for the most part) like regular people.


39/59. almost everyone has made their mind up about Trump. Which could be problematic for him, as there’s not really much of a route to re-election for an incumbent with a -20 favourability gap, apart from cheating.

Which police? Each county and each city has their own cops. None of them are linked.

Los Angeles County (including LA city) has 30 plus police forces and then the sheriffs also.

The LAPD cover the city and each of the other cities have their own forces. Any city that doesn't is covered by the sheriffs.

I should add his main homes where in New York, New Mexico and Florida most of the scummy things he did where on his ranch the place in Florida and on the plane to his private island.

they destabilize the country, then it's easier for them to gain power and control over the politicians.
They can use this power to get the US to ease sanctions, destabilize NATO, push for a seat on the G7, draw down troops stationed in Europe, win construction and energy contracts and on and on and on.
