Who’s old enough to remember when we had: A Black President. A Black AG (2 of them!) A Democrat-Controlled House AND Senate. A VP who claims he’s always worked for the Black community. YET, they passed NO prison reform, NO police reform, or any other reforms for that matter!

In Obamas first two years he spent a lot of time trying to reach consensus with the other side. He wasted two years. Then every effort at prison reform was blocked by republicans, a lot of whom were invested in private prisons.

It's no problem for Republicans to accept under Trump what they violently opposed under Obama.

Democrats aren't inclined to oppose an aspirational positive good just because it would occur under Trump's signature rather than a Democrat's.

Many things were blocked on the pretext of “the national debt” which has magically disappeared as an issue under Trump despite ballooning in size. However I am sure many will suddenly reassert its importance less than 24hours after a democrat regains the presidency.

Yes, we can trust the GOP to become deeply concerned over the state of our national finances right around the time an incoming Democratic administration arrives to begin the herculean task of cleaning up the mess left by the last Republican administration.
