So why didn’t the UK do it then, you are closer. Why expect USA to do it?

We need all our leaders in the West and the free world to step up right now; this could potentially be much wider than Ukraine and things could deteriorate quickly.

So far, for his faults Biden has strengthened NATO in Europe with thousands of US troops and worked together to get a position the west can all agree on to try and restore peace.

Johnson needs to do this too (and has done some of it), but more importantly he has to reverse those defence cuts (at a minimum, I’d much prefer for him to use the crisis to radically reform the MoD so we aren’t getting screwed so much on housing and procurement and instead using the money for a much bigger army and RAF).

How many troops has he sent in. I mean new ones not recycled from Germany… I will be critical of the U.K. and our lack of defence spending, but that’s for a different thread, this is about Biden….

Funny how you mention arguments falling down. That's your posting history especially when it comes to Irish affairs and American affairs.

Well let’s see. The USA has spent the last 100 years undermining the U.K., it’s Empire and it’s military, in order to take over the role of World Policeman, which the U.K. occupied. Well now you’ve got it. The USA is 6/7 times bigger than the UK and is the self declared leader of the free world. We are now just a little country that happens to have a much bigger ‘bite’ than its size and more than able to defend itself. We also happen to be the one country that can also be depended upon when things get a bit rough. We are no longer big enough to do certain things on our own but still retain the moral authority about what is right. The USA is the leader, and it needs to lead. Biden is not a leader….

And we have spent the last few years with a lot of Americans, on all sides of the political aisle, fed up with the role and the costs both in personnel and monetary it has incurred for very questionable outcomes.

And on that note I'll leave you to your fuming as I need to finish my taxes as you seem keen on them being spent.
