Job Prospects Update...

Well I have been working this week on a trial basis, but apparently it's to see if I like the job rather than if I can do the work. It's going ok, but the travel is a bind.

Now they are offering me enough to cover my travel costs but I sense that there is a power struggle going on and it's a little unsettling.

Good thing is though that this was my backup job, the one I want is on Friday, and when it was me versus some other girl who was travelling from afar, I am now interviewing against nobody else, so unless I truly mess up the job is mine, and I have a good chance of getting the same money as the other place.

The one I want is closer, so it's going to be half my travel and petrol costs, plus I like the fact that the woman really wants me to meet me.

I'll keep you all posted, but this could be the job I have been waiting for.

Great stuff, and also if you do get stuck with the first job, you'll get used to long commutes very quickly, and an internal power struggle could be used to your advantage (power struggles always need allies, everyone will be looking to you for reassurance )

Situation was I was at a job in N Wales, but there was one I wanted closer, but still 20 miles away. Well I was misrepresented by an agent, so never got that one, and the job in Abergele (I was on a 2 week trial) was not what I expected, plus the travel was a mare.

Yesterday I discovered a potential job in Bromborough, 5 minutes away - they wanted me to interview at 4.30 yesterday afternoon, and was told this morning that I had got the job.

Can't contain myself to be honest. Delighted.
