He showed great potential last night - admit he should have grabbed at least one goal, but he gave us a presence up front.

More games and I think he'll come very good. He actually surprised me with his speed and strength too (despite falling on his arse a couple of times!).

Remember Yakubu and Jags, and how long it took them to find form at a new club. Price tag is worrying though.

On reflection he aint all that bad, hes scored some decent goals at home, just wish he could score away, but its not like hes missing hatfuls during games, hes not Franny Jeffers, hes more Radzinski.

Unless we can get City to agree to some sort of payment plan, hes not worth taking anything from our small budget for.

So one footed its untrue. You'd think for 18mil+ he would at least do more than stand on his right foot.
I really hope we dont consider signing him, cause he's just not worth the money.

He's useful, depends on our budget whether we should sign him. I'd say we shouldn't spend more than about 25% of our budget on him. So if City want their £18m back that would mean Kenwright has to come up with a £72m 'transfer warchest (C)'.

So yeah, another loan please.

He's sufficient cover whilst the Yak is back at the ranch.

A lot of people give him stick for not living up to a £18m striker, which is fair enough - but is he really £18m? Surely thats just CSKA Moscow milking the money out of Citeh cos they know they can get it. Thats not a proper valuation imo.

I think he is a good player, and i think with more time he could develop into a top quality striker. He's had his ups and downs obviously, so he's still tryna find his feet in the premiership.

Yes i know he should have nailed those chances against Chelski, but ive seen a lot more players, with bigger price tags, miss a heck of a lot more.

This lads not the finished product, and although we shouldnt be looking at paying double figures, i think we should break a deal to keep hold of him. Just incase Vaughn gets another injury (2-1f with WillHill) or Saha gets a pacemaker.

Jo's problem isn't his playing ability or skill. Nor is it his ability to score goals (5 in 9 as someone just said.)

No, Jo's "problem" is that Manchester City paid and obscene amount of money for a player who right now, is nowhere worth that much.

Therefore many people are basing their assessments of Jo in comparison to how much City paid for him.

Unless City are willing to cut their losses on him and go a different route, he'll be back with them next year unless Moyes can either:

1) Get him for a reasonable amount or

2) Get him on a season long loan.

Either would be fine with me but it quite obvious that right now, he's not worth the 18M that City paid for him. He might though in the future and that's what has me thinking.
