Player Valuation: £20m
According to today's Echo -

"Though Hughes has opened the possibility of Jo heading back down the M62, a clause was inserted in the deal which gives Everton the chance to make his signing permanent in the summer if everything goes to plan."

I think the jury's still out as to whether he'll be worth the investment, but great news that we have the option there.

I dont think we will need him if vaughan can stay fit, but that's not a very good possibility, neither is the likelyhood of Saha staying fit either. I hope he comes good, we need someone who can do stepovers.

I wonder for how much?

He's very young, and he was ace in Russia, so you would have to think the potential was already there.

It would be interesting to see how he Yakubu might link up. On paper, it should be a winning partnership. Yak is more of an out-and-out striker, and Jo should be excellent at linking up as a partner to that.

..... And with Saha and Vaughan waiting in the wings, things would look healthy.

Very healthy if all are fit. I think if we did bring Jo in, TB's idea that Vaughan is loaned out would be a good idea. The lad needs to build up his strength and confidence. I think a half-season at a good attack-minded Championship club would be beneficial for him and Everton.

I asked Ian Ross at the club whether such a clause existed and he denied that it did.

Who played more deeper at CSKA? Vagner Love or Jo?

Jo's 2 good performances have come against 2 of the worst teams at Goodison. Bolton all game, and Stoke first half.

Prefer to play Vaughan over him.

Saha and Vaughan are injury prone, Victor is only effective on the wing and Yakubu's future must be in doubt with such a serious injury. That leaves us with Cahill and Fellaini who are also covering for midfield which is light on numbers.

The Jury is still out on Jo but we definitely need to look at a reliable striker, someone who is likely to stay fit and always give us an option. We'll see what happens.

We dont need him. Yakubu isnt injury prone, and one would hope he is back to normal next season. If Yakubu does get injured, we have always got Saha/Vaughan/Anichebe - the chances of them all being injured - like this season are very slim. And worst comes to worst we play Fellaini up front.

Sort the midfield out first (left/right winger) then look to the attack.

Good post TB. The only problem is where are these reliable strikers and are in our price range?

Vaughan is going to be injured all the time throughout his career, get rid next time he's fit
