A few really bad injuries, that would be carreer ending a few years back. Chances are he just isn't up to the Premier Leage, now. A lot of blaming the board etc for him. I think just bad luck, believe me (because it happened to me) no one ruptures their Achillies on purpose. He might of been a good signing had he not had those injuries, we'll never know.

As for his lifestyle, could be that he's gone off the rails because how his carreer has gone?

Even Kroldrup (whom many consider to be one of our worst ever signings) was sold for decent money

The negotiation skills at the club have seemingly worsened progressively since then
Kroldrup was sold straight away so he didn't have time to taint his reputation, he also didn't have a spate of horrific injuries to worry about so he was quite easy to sell especially back to the league he had came from where he was decent.

If Gbamin wasn't injured straight away and we binned him off 3 months later someone in Germany probably would have took a chance on him. He is obviously ruined though.

Good example Kroldrup was like £5 million and sold 6/12 months later for around half of that with the wages gone. Compare that to Bolaise, Schenderlin, Gbamin, Siggy, Walcott ETC.
