It was I think, it would have made me very nervous.
Allan was straining every sinew to get through the full 90 minutes. Fair play to him. There was a high risk of injury to him then too, particularly another tear or strain.
It says something that Benitez felt he couldn't sub him though. Gbamin is simply not ready for a game of that intensity, even for a few minutes, when the result is on the line.
If we had gone 3-1 up, he might have given him 10 minutes.
