Whats fee apperance fee we've lost out on this?

Although the Pienaar deal is apparently done I wont believe it until I see it and the cynic in me says this will directly affect it

Bob posted on his blog a profit of 500K

Until they can sort the stuff going on closer to home first , and what with the shocking starts to the seasons , i dont understand why these trips half way around the world are still getting arranged. lets all run of while the club is up the wall one way or another, but nobody knows whats happening back home , all ads to the smoke and mirrors and confusion that maybe some ppl it suits to hide behind

if we have to arrange friendlies at short notice, ireland would be my guess.there would be a few league of ireland sides that would jump at a nice big payday. we have also arranged last minute friendlies over there a couple of times, bray and bohemians spring to mind.

Best thing to do now, is get some tough decent games against League 1/Championship sides and maybe see if we could get a decent European team.

I know the oppo wouldn't be great but you get a good test and a good run out against a hard working championship side. I would take that over playing the Indonesia U23s

The second I saw the "*Everton will not be liable for any travel expenses in the event of..." on the website I figured this was likely. So far, another crappy preseason for us...

I noticed this a few weeks ago when I was browsing the ticket section on the OS. Thought it sounded dodgy then! It's been taken down now, it said something along the lines of "In the extremely unlikely event that Everton do not participate in the Java Cup......." ha ha ha ha. Yeah, extremely unlikely!!!

The big winners in all of this will be Hereford.

An Everton XI is playing them on Saturday; I'd imagine that will be our first team now.

It would be very hard to arrange games against good quality teams at such short notice, because most teams will already have their schedules in place.

I reckon the Liverpool Senior Cup Final vs Tranmere next Wednesday at Prenton Park will probably feature more senior players than usual too now.

Also, spare a thought for the fans who spent £18.99 for the Everton TV 6 games package.

- Dundee Utd (unwatchable).
- Motherwell (slightly better, still not great).
- Games 3 & 4 cancelled.

Don't be silly. We are not going to send out first team to play bloody Hereford.

I hear Galatasaray are free.... haha

what were they thinking in the first place, dragging the team half way around the world to play some ****e tournament.there are plenty of tournaments around europe we could have played in, but the board chose to go to indonesia, probably something to do with the money they were offered.is it the boards fault the tournament went tits up? no. is it the boards fault for getting involved with people who couldn't organise a piss up in a brewey? yes.if an idiot comes up with an idea, other idiots will think it's a good idea too, and lets face it we are run by fcukin idiots.

Raising the global profile of the club in order to increase revenue streams?

Yeah, stupid idea .........

Have a go at the board over what they deserve it for. The Java Cup going tits up isn't their fault.

Several members of our first team were in the side that played 'bloody Morecambe' the other week.

The first team also played Cambridge a few years ago in a preseason friendly.

The Hereford game is already arranged and the first team need 90 minutes for fitness.

It will probably happen.

Aye it would certainly seem that way.
