2025/26 Jarrad Branthwaite

I’d be amazed if it was as black and white as that. That player is in the red zone, oh he doesn’t play then.

Do you think in a cup semi final and the medical staff told Moyes his best two players were in the red zone and he says ok I won’t play them.
I still think the final decision will always be with the player and manage. I’ve heard some say, if it wasn’t Chelsea KDH wouldn’t have played, I find that hard to believe, but that’s what I heard.
Not for me, if Moyes was told not to play him I can’t see any way in the world he would’ve played him, especially in a game we were long odds to win

I did wonder if we would regret giving him that mega deal. He has all the ability and I have no qualms about giving him that deal on an ability basis but availability is worth just as much and it's worrying that he keeps needing to be managed / picking up regular muscle injuries.

Sounds dodgy.

Surely if it’s ’managing his minutes’ is far greater doing said ‘rehab’ in a warm climate?!

Doesn’t sound right to me.

It’s an injury which they are trying to ‘manage/ cover up’ due to us all wetting our kecks again if it came out.

Maybe he souldnt have been playing his best CB at left back when he’d just come back from a long injury

said that at the time, I thought it was a very strange decision to play Branthwaite at left back after just recovering from a long standing hamstring injury, last thing you want to do is chase a tricky winger on a cold night. Anyway it is what it is, let's see what the "injury" is before jumping to conclusions.

Thought it a bit a bit odd him being subbed with 8 minutes to go agst Burnley.
Dont recall him doing this in the previous games he's played.

Mind you this club does some odd things , if it happened in the Burnley game why has it took a week to come out.
For me same with Grealish , I thought at the time he injured his foot in a tackle from Matty Cash , I even said to me lad at the time "he's hurt there" he doesnt stay down and complain. That took over a week to be " assessed".

Or is it the dreaded Finch Farm concrete muscle rupture pitches strike again.

is there a chance hes actually fine?
It's the fact he hasn't gone, rather than the knowledge of what it really is.
You want the squad together, even if it meant him just doing light training.
Charly has been out and it hasn't stopped him.

But fingers crossed it could just be a knowledge that he wont be playing at Arsenal anyway and possibly even Chelsea which gives him a good few weeks recovery with the International break coming up..

Not a lad you want to take risks with..
