2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

I can see him going to Spurs if they stump up the money (big if seeing how tight Levy is).

Romero wants to go to Athletico and is pretty open about leaving.

There’s zero chance Spurs pay what they’d need to to buy him. Their record signing is south of £65m and I wouldn’t even answer the phone if they’re talking less than £75m.

That leaves Chelsea basically, who seem to be allowed to do what they want and could afford him. Fleece them for every penny if they come calling. I somehow doubt JB would want to become lost amongst their 50 man squad though, he’s a smart lad. Stay here and a bigger move beckons eventually.

If we end up selling this guy before making any new signing (and yes charly doesn't count as we had to trigger the buy option) , coupled with the no show for the goodison farewell, would not be well received by the fanbase. Other than the change of manager, I am not overly impressed with the appointments to date.
Too soon to judge their appointments…obviously selling Big Jarred would certainly set alarm bells ringing

We’ll see what happens but if he’s sold this window it won’t be for anywhere near £100m.

He’s a great player but we probably overrate him compared to other centre halves in the game.

£60-70m is a fair price and I don’t see the club rejecting that if a bid comes in.

I don't want us to lose him, however if we are to sell him then it's got to be for a massive fee. If it's anything less then 80 million then I'd be disappointed in the Club. He's our most valuable asset and unless it's for mega money then we need to reject the offers and keep him. Hopefully our new owners and our new CEO are tough at negotiating deals and will demand top money or tell other clubs to jog on

Players are short sighted and playing CL football right now is a big draw.

Dont think you need to be einstein though to figure out they are highly unlikely to be in it that long. Take that away and they just set the record for a club to lose as many games in the league and not get relegated.
Could all change mind if they sack ange, as is being reported.

I got really disillusioned with football over the period of having 4 top top quality 19-20 year olds at the club (Deulofeu, Lukaku, Stones & Barkley)
It all started with the sale of Stones, it felt very.....what's the point. It all felt very 'not fair' especially the media pursuit of Stones to be sold

I feel if we have to sell Branthwaite to balance FFP, and especially if its to someone like Spurs, i think i will go into a similar vortex. probably even worse as it wont be a footballing decision by the club and not even a financial decision. It will be based on laws put in place that only certain clubs have to adhere too.

(FWIW it would be very short sighted on Branthwaite to go there. They are only playing CL football because they won a cup were they had to play Bodo/Glint in the semi's), Spurs aren't even on Villa or Newcastle's level as a club in terms of potential to do well.
