I got really disillusioned with football over the period of having 4 top top quality 19-20 year olds at the club (Deulofeu, Lukaku, Stones & Barkley)
It all started with the sale of Stones, it felt very.....what's the point. It all felt very 'not fair' especially the media pursuit of Stones to be sold
I feel if we have to sell
Branthwaite to balance FFP, and especially if its to someone like Spurs, i think i will go into a similar vortex. probably even worse as it wont be a footballing decision by the club and not even a financial decision. It will be based on laws put in place that only certain clubs have to adhere too.
(FWIW it would be very short sighted on
Branthwaite to go there. They are only playing CL football because they won a cup were they had to play Bodo/Glint in the semi's), Spurs aren't even on Villa or Newcastle's level as a club in terms of potential to do well.
