He would be an absolute fool to trust Everton and take a new contract unless he was offered silly money. We have to convince him that it is worth staying. I'm sure he has faith in his partnerships at the back, but we need to have the attack fully revamped by next season and prove we are going somewhere. We have to give him something to believe in or bend over and give him a wacky deal. Playing guys like Doucore and Ash does not help.
This is a bit clueless. Most of Branthwaite’s clearances find a blue shirt. The only ones that don’t are in his own box under severe pressure when the main thing is just clearing the immediate danger.Your played ale house football as a CB then, because the best CBs (and Branthwoate is getting billed as being one or capable of being one) will be a lot more composed when they have time to consider where they can head out to (Ilm not talking about a ball pinging about the box and in need of a desperate head out at all costs, btw).
The best players are looking around and seeing pictures as to the next passage of play. Branthwaite is great at covering tackles and anticipating danger. That's fine. But a lot of his game is dealing with balls into the box and the lad has to be doing more with them than just ballooning them in the air anywhere as long as they get out of the box.

Are you and @davek in a relationship?Fair comment
Showing once again that you are either (1) clueless or (2) on the wind up.Your played ale house football as a CB then, because the best CBs (and Branthwoate is getting billed as being one or capable of being one) will be a lot more composed when they have time to consider where they can head out to (Ilm not talking about a ball pinging about the box and in need of a desperate head out at all costs, btw).

Yes, I think 2004 is calling and wants its transfer rumour back. Why the bloody hell would he want to play for United. Right now we look far more exciting and things are going to only get better for us. United they could be in for a long arduous journey over the next few years.
