January Transfer Window 2026

Honestly can't believe the innate desire that people have to see over the hill prem strikers get the last contract of their career at Everton.

Used to be Ings shouts every window, now Wilson. He's just had his contract terminated by the 2nd worst team in the league, who have just signed 2 strikers that don't score to replace him. The guy is beyond finished.

Hed be the PL top goal scoring striker at the club if he arrived at the club this afternoon.

Have mate. He has a 1 league goal less then our two strikers combined. He has two assists - our two have 0. And hes come off the bench for WHU most of the year.

WHU are finished mentally and physically.

Im not saying give him a five year deal - Jan is a marginal gains window - to plan for 18 games left in the season - would he offer us marginal games for four months - i think he would.
They've just terminated his contract by mutual consent mate....

I just really don't see anything significant he adds to this team. Does signing Wilson for 6 months get us 2 or 3 places higher up the table come the end of the season? I dont think it does.

And as I said, guy seems like a colossal moron. Wouldn't go near a player who's still a pro in the top flight and has a podcast.

I'd settle down to understanding there'll be no signings.

It's clear that the club are waiting on Ndiaye and Gueye to get back in and KDH to get fit in order to get on a winning streak again.

There'll be no FB or CF addition. I'm pretty certain of that.
Sadly feel the same
I'd take a risk on Calum Wilson until the end of the season if it meant that we could sell Beto this window.
Would only really see the point as him coming in as 3rd choice prob better suited to play in a two aswell than beto and barry together. Just his injury problems would worry me if 2 nd choice, i do think beto will go in the summer and will have a price now. Just feel teams in italy will look for a loan now while a sale in the summer be easier

He was signed by a different manager though mate, we know better then most here - for all that brings in terms of players being in and out of favour. Nuno loves a big grock target man centre forward.

The dude has scored double digits or very close to it - every season hes been fit, hes a goal scorer, hes scored four with two assists in the equivalent of 8 games this season, ours havent got near that. So i think he adds more goal scoring threat in our team - which is one of the worst in the league for finishing and goal scoring.

Hes actually got an brilliant record of scoring against us.

Is he the answer long term no, does he provide a marginal gain - if fit for less then half a season- for sure IMO.

Looks to me like he had a deal elsewhere tbh, be surprised if its us - but we need a goal scorer and finisher.

Its more so that this January premium could mean we fetch a bit more for Beto than in the summer.

Also that incoming transfer fee could go towards advanced planning in the summer.

Think Wilson might be too much of a risk on our Indian Burial Ground of a Training facility and with our medical staff.

Given his previous injury record, he may end up dying at Finch Farm.

Then again, in typical Everton That fashion, he may be in peak physical fitness throughout his brief stay. And Moyes will just leave him on the bench.

Vanderson is a cool name.
It's off lads. Can't be signing anyone who's from a city named after Salomón.

Transfers: 'More unlikely than likely'

Moyes just said the following at his presser:

"We are probably more unlikely than likely" - that is Moyes' answer when asked whether to expect any incomings this January. He says the club is looking at a few players but he doesn't think there is much business going elsewhere - though that could change.

On Armstrong v Brentford: "I though Harrison looked like someone who has been playing regular football... I thought he came on and done fine

I can see what you're saying, certainly does have a record of scoring against us.

All I can say is for me his legs have gone, don't think his heart is really in it anymore and he's not the type of personality you look to bring into the club. Especially someone his age you would be expecting to set standards as a professional and I dont think he's that guy.

He can finish, give him a chance in the box and he'll take it, but is that really how we play? He would basically need to just hang around the box, maybe the only way it would be possible for an Everton striker to be more isolated than they already have been this season.
