January Transfer Window 2026

I would like Guela Doue as a long-term RB get a LOT btw. He's a fantastic defender, a good passer and a good size. Can play as a CB too so would enable the option for a back three which is useful. Bit more conservative positionally but that works if we're planning on having a very attacking left back (Aznou, whether or not he comes good for us, points to that being the case).

If he's available and we pass him up because we want a 'proven premier league performer' I will scream
You'll be screaming

This needs to stop being a thing real quick. We paid that for Barry, who was 22, and it was bad money. Age shouldn’t dictate whether a fee is decent or not. We can’t go back to just spaffing money on players.

People love a £30m transfer dont they.

The amount of hyped up Brazilian kids that get a move over to Europe for that fee is mental, and most of it is just agents pimping them through Romano, that forward Forest have is garbage, i think they got about 3 more also.

Wolves signed that Arokadare for £26m.....he's rubbish
Villa signing Guessand....a big galute
Ben Doak ...£25m
Whats the Greek wonderkid at Brighton doing? Being kept out the side by Danny Welbeck
Broja
Lets add Bakwa & Kalimuendo at Forest to the list too
We have our own 2 in Beto & Barry

And that is just this summer, the amount of £30m transfers that don't work out because of the market they are being bought from (usually one of the other 5 leagues but not Prem proven, at around 20-23) that dont work is huge, yet so many clubs just keep doing it just because its seen as 'worth a punt'

Considering where we are in the league, it’s a big window to see what the Friedkins ambitions are for us this year,
A few (3/4) signings of quality whether that be on loan or permanent, could get us into Europe this year, I’d imagine that would be ahead of schedule at this stage.
2 decent full backs and a striker who is mobile with pace and we’re in with a shout.

Potential link to Ricardo Pepi from PSV. The 22 year old american striker has had 7 goals in 14 games in the eredivisie so far this season and we have been linked along with Fulham. It is rumoured that PSV want £30m for him, having already turned down a bid of £26m from Fulham. This could just be agent talk to try and get Fulham to increase their bid.

He looks decent in the dutch league, but its hard to judge if that will translate to the the premier league. he looks quick, good touch and decent in and around the box. In todays market, for a 22 year old, £30m is not bad money.

His movement around the box is uncanny.

It's too bad his finishing doesn't match.

Hows his dats compared with Doue & Sanchez?

Looking at those 3 options I'd still rather Kayode or Wesley 12months ago.

send this to Moyes :) spot on, especially the right back and striker you describe. I doubt we sign a new left back now though

I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

i watched Parrott the other day against my home team Fortuna Sittard. Did not look a target man, never bothered to challenge the centre halves even. Did make some great runs though, scored and was close a few times

good job we mostly keep the ball on the deck and have clever plays like ndaiye grealish kdh garner looking to slip a striker in behind
