January Transfer Window 2026

Welch, Campbell and Dixon will be released by the seasons end I'd imagine. Patterson is hardly a kid let's be honest. I just don't see where these youth are coming from to pad the squad out for a European campaign so we'll be stretching our limited squad to the limit unless we go on a transfer binge in the summer which judging by our recent activities in this area is hardly likely to happen. Saying all that I'd still love to be in Europe next season

If we got Europe:

GK: Travers
LB: Aznou
LCB: Keane
RCB: O'Brien
RB:
LW
CM: Iroegbunam
ACM: Alcaraz
CM: Armstrong
RW: Dibling
CF:

We need to strenghen those areas anyway and we'd effectively have 2 × 11s which we would need anyway.

I dont think its a huge step up for new players once weve made some sales.

I have just been trying to review players we have bought directly from outside of the UK in our history. Yobo, Ndiaye, Bernard was useful, Yerry and Fellaini. That might be it. Fellaini the only single one who hasn’t lost value. I might of missed some before someone catches me out, but the numbers are embarrassing for an ever present prem team

Onana, Ndiaye & Fellaini profit wise.

We should go for Brennan Jonnson

Wouldnt get in the team.

He’d start on the right for me.

Grealish at 10, Illy back to left.

If we had Dibling + another fast paced winger it would give us a fantastic choices for our front line.

He scores goals from chances, not really from his play outside of the box.

We need wide players who do both like Ndiaye & soon Dibling.

Could make an excellent centre forward fox in the box though...

Don’t think £35m is a price we should be paying for Johnson because I think his ceiling has probably already been reached.

If we are spending £35m, they either need to be a difference maker for us (which i don’t think he would be) or have the potential to grow into a £50m plus player (which i don’t think he can).

It is sad that we are having to think of re-sale as fans but that’s the game these days.

Roma signing Zirzkee on loan.

Dovbyk surely going to be offered here at some point in January?

Club scouted him years back before he even went to Girona.

Even at Roma he scored 12 in 30 last season so not like he's been a complete flop there, just dosen't fit into what Gaspierini wants and he plays Evan Ferguson instead.

Could do much worse.

I just don’t see any dealings between Everton and Roma happening tbh. Nothing but a pre season friendly.

Wants to stay in Italy according to the reporters over there.

Which is completely fine by me because he's the Ukrainian Geoff Horsefield.

When did Horsfield score 20 goals in La Liga?!

Funnily enough I know Geoff a little, drinks in my local in the Midlands so heard some very amusing tales from him in the past about his Birmingham days.

Will mention next time I see him that someone on an Everton forum has compared him to Dovbyk and he wouldn't have the first clue who that is!

Lets see if Moyes uses Grealish at 10.

I'd be disappointed if Grealish signed permanently to play LW. Based on what ive seen so far.

The attacking 4
RM: Ndiaye, Dibling
10: KDH, Alcaraz, Rohl
LM: Grealish, Ndiaye
ST: Barry, Ndiaye

Though I understand Moyes has yet to try Ndiaye as a a striker, but if we sold Beto & McNeil, you’d expect at least 1 incoming (I’d prioritise a pacy winger)

Come the end of Jan, there’s 15 league games to go, that’s plenty of depth with 1 extra signing

As things are today Ndiaye doesnt look good central.

Ndiaye should be 1st choice on the left and Dibling on the right.

For the 10, KDH is an 8, Rohl has shown nothing and Alcaraz cant play with this posession crappy style.

I reckon Moyes goes
LW: Grealish
RW: Ndiaye / Dibling

Just brings in a cheap player or a kid to back up Grealish.

That would really annoy me if true. That kind of thinking has held us back for years. There's no guarantee of any kind of success in sport, but you have to push boundaries to succeed. This is one of the most condensed PL seasons I can remember. A good run gets Europe.

The club cannot on the one hand bemoan how hard it is to attract players when we don't have European football and then not go all out to try and achieve it. What then when bigger clubs inevitably come in for the likes of Ndiaye and Branthwaite? How do we keep them? Or do we lose them too and then struggle to attract high calibre replacements?

There are players out there that would improve us that we could get. Go and get them. Don't finish on 50 points and give yourselves a pat on the back for getting more than last season.

Its been said if there is a top player available for the right price we will go for them.

Because he's never been one

He has a fair number of games centrally only 2nd to LW.

And what has that got to do with anything ?

No player has a guarantee'd place, unless it's a computer game.

I'd take johnson for the squad, and palace will have done good business their..

I dont even know how to respond to this.

Brennan Johnson is NOT trading Spurs bench for Evertons.

You may take him for the squad. Good for you. Think from his point of view, he'll pick Palace or someone who he has a chance of getting in their 11.

Grealish isn't a 10. Pretty much all of his best work in his career has been from the left. Moyes was asked about Grealish as a 10 this week and he said more or less the same
