Unless it’s on loan and he’s a real difference maker, going after a midfielder would be criminal this window. Just another body that will stop Armstrong getting in the squad next season, nailed on.

We’ve had the same priorities for years, the lack of right back is beyond negligent. This is the first window with our new transfer ‘gurus’ on the board, yes? Will be very telling.

Dovbyk is very slow. By most accounts one of the reasons he has struggled in Serie A is a lack of pace. That would be more of sn issue in the PL. And we are so slow, I don't think we should be signing players with a reputation for being slow.

Id suggest thats exactly why he would work here and Beto works in Serie A. Last year on the break Beto was great, his pace works well. This year we dont look to break, instead we look to build up and go to a target man. Pace isnt needed now, its skill in tighter spaces.

He fits our current style of play.
