January Transfer Window 2026

Maybe the Beto swap link rumours have legs???....
I could see this one. I think Dovbyk could be good for us, looks a solid player who has scored double digits everywhere he has been. I know he only has 2 this season but thats....in 320 minutes. We would kill for 1 in 2 right now.

I could easily see Roma sending him on loan, ups his value for a sale in the summer, we dont have to spend, and the Friedkins make literal money by improving the place on the table. As far as Roma are concerned they dont care where he goes, and hes unlikely to find a more ideal spot than us.

Loan Dovbyk, buy a RB, cheap but effective window.

Dovbyk is very slow. By most accounts one of the reasons he has struggled in Serie A is a lack of pace. That would be more of sn issue in the PL. And we are so slow, I don't think we should be signing players with a reputation for being slow.

Didn't he score 12 goals last season even while there was some turbulence at Roma? I don't think it's an issue of being able to adapt to Serie A , I think it's more that he doesn't fit Gasperini's style. I think his profile would be more suitable for Moyes

It's got to be a RB surely, put JOB out of his misery, he tries hard but its just not his thing.
Certainly hope so, but I can see us trudging through and putting off signings for an active summer. Might be the better decision rather than get the wrong guy who's available. I want a couple in jan though regardless
Couple of wins in the next few and in with a genuine chance of Europe might loosen the purse strings though 🤞

I think you`re giving quite a few posters on here way too much credit.

I saw one post the other day, saying that the bottom three are starting to catch up on us and we were starting to look over our shoulders !!!!!

I mean ffs, Wolves are 22 POINTS adrift of us

Also remember, according to the Brains Trust on here, it`s not that long ago, that the mighty Luton were going to send us down that season to :lol::lol::lol:
All good in theory though but as of right now we have lost our goal scoring number ten, our talisman winger, our defensive midfielder and we don’t have any striker that can score or get into positions where they look like scoring.

I’m never bothered about games against the Sky 6, no matter if you play amazing they generally bring on hundreds of million quids worth of players and there’s not a doubt they are favoured by refs. See Ashley Youngs pen overturned against United and see Barry yesterday, kicked and nothing given.

It’s the games coming up where we have to perform and win. Burnley, wolves, Brentford, Forest, these are the games where we have to go and get points. It just worries me, the attacking threat isn’t there.

He was crap.

I wasnt a fan of Saha from his time at United when he was always injured. With us his injuries were pretty consistent as well.

Cant understand Moyes fetish for injury prone or ageing players.

We need Barry to come good or a centre forward signed. But why would TFG trust Moyes with money?

He signs players then doesnt use them.

You know how many strikers currently in any Premier club academy that are ready to immediately step up and lead the line in a premier league club? I would say maybe 1 or 2 players and they would still need tine to adapt to rigors of the league and they're probably playing for one of the sky six academies. The gap between the under 21s and the premier is immense. I get that your frustrated but this is just fantasy

Or what ?you'll launch 6 tirades about the club a day instead 5?
Yes, yes I will.

I don't think there has been as desperate a situation as ours in many, many years in this division. Clubs never send their squads into the season with just two strikers, and they certainly don't willingly go into the season without a single proven decent option. Thank God the window is getting SMASHED open soon.

You do realise that last season we didn`t reach the points total we`re currently on until February !

Stats say that if you`re on 20 points at the start of New Year, you`re not going down.

In effect we need to win 4/5 more games out of the 19 remaining games and even if Dyche was still the managing the team, I think we could manage that.
