January Transfer Window 2026

Because that's what Kinnear explained the process to be in his ToffeeTV interview.

A three way committee of Moyes, the scouts and the data analysts putting forward players that all three must agree on with Moyes having the final say on whether to proceed or not.
Ahem: I think I spot a flaw in your argument that Moyes just has the final say-so on players suggested to him.

And they've waited until the last day to realize they put all their eggs in a basket that the manager doesn't rate?
Yh, am raging at all involved tbh. Not good enough if the only player recruitment team can find for that position is a punt that the manager is unsure about.

Not happy at Moyes either though as he has a big role in transfer policy. Years in the making this fullback issue, anyone involved in decision making at the club needed to be on top of this going into this window.

He can only give final approval to what they put in front of him which appears to have been a very short list from the few links we are aware of.
There’s no way he hasn’t got his own circle putting players forward to him, no doubt there will be some overlap with what the official committee put forward, but there will be others too imho.

917 pages, and we end up with one player, who wasn't even linked to the club for the majority of these 917 pages.

Reckon there must be at least 50+ arguments in this thread, all over players that we were never going to sign.

Transfer threads are legitimately the most pointless threads ever, fight me.
