January Transfer Window 2026

Friends of mine said Corinthians were in for him but he didn’t fancy living in Rio as it’s full of wild boys. Good goal getter though the reflex on him in the box is second to none, and when he’s up for it he’s hungry like the wolf for goals.
I knew this blag not even before you got to the cliched Duran duran jokes , obvious sign it was bunk is when you mentioned that you have friends.... Jk

Whether its our day to day scouts/player research people not actually being up to scratch or Moyes playing the awkward customer routine a little too often, this matter needs sorting once and for all imo. It should never take a year to find any player, that's showing clear issues with the recruitment process there.
The thing is, if you take the quote in complete isolation it sounds like a massive deal but when you actually think about it it's probably not quite what it sounds like. He says over a year but he's barely been here over a year. Basically he would have liked one in January but couldn't find one they wanted in the 2 weeks or whatever that they had, then they wanted Kenny Tete in the summer but it fell through, now we're into January where ideally he'd still like one but the club had said from the outset they probably wouldn't do any business and there's likely to be an element of the market being a bit more restricted than it will be in a couple of months. I doubt he literally means they've not found a single right back they could have signed in over a year, more that he is and always has been aware of the need for one, but they haven't actually managed to sort it out yet.

Why Judas Stones?
Because he demanded to leave after Everton made him into a player. No loyalty.
Who do we play then? I know O'Brien will likely still be here but for me we should look to the future, get shut of Tarks and/or Keane Won't happen though while Moyes is our manager.
O'Brien and Tarkowski are ok for a defenisve backs to the wall game plan. If Branthwaite leaves we need to go into the transfer market.
Ofc
As soon as he's back, shows glimpses of what he brings to the team, gives people a bit of positivity for the run in, out you come with your grimy crystal ball 😆
It's realistic, not pessimistic.

As long as he doesn't go to Liverpool I wouldn't grumble.
