January Transfer Window 2026

… runs like he’s had 8 pints and so one has pit chilli sauce in his eyes …

He’s a Beto clone
According to someone,
We won’t be gambling in this window, unless something comes a long and is too good to miss out on. Everton are looking but most likely it wil be 1 in and 1 out. So sounds like Beto and a new striker more likely

honestly we need both. We do need a body on the wings now that Grealish is out, we can’t have McNeil anywhere near the starting XI.

But we do need fullbacks to address the dreadful imbalance in the team currently. I’m at a point where left back feels more pressing given how awful Mykolenko is (and if Moyes refuses to play aznou)

Couldn't agree more mate, love to see our fullbacks run past the wingers to cross from the by- line but how often have we seen that happen ? Sadly enough McNeil was behind or inside the fullback last night. A fast skill winger would be a delight to see as well, how about it Angus...

really frustrating if the clubs hierarchy is actively trying to stop us getting into europe by not investing

this is the first season of our new stadium and era for the club, we should be pulling out all the stops to make it a success

we may not actually get a better chance to get europe. if united, chelsea, newcastle, spurs, Liverpool all fix up next year, even with a much better side we might struggle to overhaul them

theres a real chance to get conference league at a minimum, which is a trophy that we could realistically have a good enough side to win with investment

the league form may take a hit, but if we invest in the squad you could rest the likes of ndiaye and grealish in the early rounds and still beat the moldovan cup winners

if we’re in europa league and have won a trophy we could attract a better quality of player and possibly win that

then youre in the champions league

all whilst possibly finishing mid table

the lack of foresight is staggering

i know they are leaps, but its not out of th question and you have to take the opportunity when you can

imagine leicesters owners reigned the squad in when they were going for the title because the champions league might affect their league form the following year

Why is it desperate times?

We're in the top ten, not that many points off European places. We have major players coming back from international duty and injuries and young players coming into form. Why are you feeling the need to hit the panic button?
Which right wingers are coming back from international duty, injury and/or coming into form?

Don't say Ndiaye because the problem just shifts to the left wing.

That's poor logic or an excuse by the club if true. Every single transfer is a risk. Gbamin was a solid recruiting choice - until he shattered. We could get Haaland for 15M and the same could happen.

It's not often I agree with Dave, but this is spot on. We'd get a lot more from Illy and Dibling if had attacking full backs creating space for them and giving defenders something else to think about.

N'Diaye must wonder what the point of sticking around will be tbh if we don't replace Myko. He regularly has 2 or 3 defenders on him without any support. Similar on the other side with Dibling albeit there are clearly other issues with him he needs to work on.

That's not just on Myko/Patterson as well, that's also the lack of movement from others.

Its been like this for years, it feels. So, so slow to progress with the ball.

Might that be the same hierarchy who appointed the manager and funded the purchase of players to get us to the position of being in the mix for Europe?

I wonder if it's because of the repercussions of both Everton and Roma being in the same European Competition at the same time because we will never have a better chance of being in Europe than this year due to the absolute weakness of the Premier league this season.
