surely moyes has got to be hammering the board for a full back

but i think the issue may be that th recruitment team and moyes arent on same wavelengths so they won’t sanction the funds

Would think that but with grealish injury would not surprise me see patterson stay now. Just so slow at making moves at the club for players or even agreeing on one. Should have been done in the summer for a rb, same as having another forward

Danny Welbeck is injured more often than our previous striker who was always injured, Raul Jiminez hasn't been the same striker he was since his injury years ago, and Wood has had about 1 decent season in his entire career. All over 30 years old with Mateta apparently off to Juventus because he's had one decent spell in the last few years.

I wanna know how is it Brentford went and found that Thiago lad who is banging them in every week... and Ivan Toney before him... and Ollie Watkins before him. Perhaps we should be trying to sign the Brentford scouting department?!

i agree, I’m just saying the level of strikers has really fallen, and that it would be exciting to sign a player of yaks calibre, and proven premier league record now, but i don’t think theres a comparable player playing for a mid table side

Leeds have just had a bid rejected and report says Wolves value him at £40m.

Secondary point here, but interesting that Leeds are looking to sign him when they already have a similarly-profiled player in DCL…

Yep, we’re not far away from having a very strong squad.

Priority for January has to be a right back then in the summer:

1. Sign or replace Grealish
2. Upgrade Beto
3. Upgrade McNeil
4. Upgrade Mykolenko
5. Sign a decent #10 to compete with Armstrong.

You think 40m is less than he should really cost!?

I wouldn't want to be the one putting the money on the line, but my feeling is the 'real' player he is is the one we saw last season. Which is a genuinely very very good prem striker and one I think 40m is a great price for and I'd have all day for the equivalent of Beto + 25m (roughly).
