Obviously just my opinion but way too much recency bias on Wilson and McNeil I think.

This is Wilson's first ever season in the prem with Fulham where he's started more than half the games he's played in. That's a squad player for a midtable side.

He's nearly 29 and is over performing his xG and xA this year by pretty much double. That's not a player who will maintain this level of form, he's on an insane finishing streak and also the players he's passed to have finished off difficult chances rather than him putting it on a plate. He's having the absolute season of his life very late in his career, that's all, he's not suddenly a different player. And he doesn't do anything else useful in build up or out of possession

I wouldn't hate it on a free in the summer if the wages are okay! You need experienced squad players knocking around. But that's all he is imo

He also had more goals & assists per 90 mins for us last season than Wilson has had for Fulham this season, if you want to judge a player entirely on one short period of output.

First column of numbers is appearances is matched played, second is starts. Never started more than half the ones he's played in before this season. Doesn't take into account games he was on the bench and never came on either

He’s got 12 goals and assists in 21 games this season. I doubt McNeil has ever had 12 goal involvements in a full season.

He has 0.63 goals and assists per 90 mins this season, McNeil last season for us had 0.66

It's really really good! But the likelihood of him doing it again is incredibly slim

Main club. So im not sure why he’d be the client journalist for Everton and TFG

McNeil is a squad player for a relegation haunted team. He won’t be joining a mid table club when he leaves us.
