January Transfer Window 2026

The failings by those responsible to realise the squad was inadequate and lacking cover and act accordingly, does not indicate they are competent for their roles.
We keep hearing the mantra signings have to be better than what we have. That dors not apply when what we have is too small in numbers.
If we pack the squad with rubbish it will stop us bringing in better players in the future.

I’d be all over Munoz and Wharton at Palace if they are intent on selling off everything good they have, I can’t believe they will be happy watching their best players disappearing and their manager on the brink.

Last year we had four strikers and Beto was firing on all cylinders. This year we've got two and Beto seems a bit lacklustre. Beto when competing with DCL, Chermiti and Broja for that number 9 really had to step up and prove his worth. Maybe he learnt a bit from them too. I am thinking that what Beto may be lacking is perhaps a competent, all round complete striker to really go toe to toe with like with DCL. If we bring in another decent forward and some real competition we may see Beto bringing back his form from a year ago.
What, both of them my son?

God bless.

Munoz is nearly 30 and a wing back not a full back so unless we're changing to a 3 at the back its not a good move. Wharton will be going to a champions league club so we've no chance attracting him
