January Transfer Window 2026

Take that up with the authorities the rules remain for everyone.

Point being they have still spent huge amounts ( like others i may add ) since theyve been charged.
Huge outlay last January and now this January.
They need players , they buy players.

Do we ?
Hows the Right back situation we've been fixing for the last 6 years ?
Hows a forward line that doesnt score coming on ( again ) ?
We are told theres no problem with the finances , so whats the problem here ?
Take it up with the authorities . Like Dickie Masters?

No I read it somewhere, might of been someone commenting on an article or something so it could be nonsense but the rumour is behind the scenes Moyes is putting the kibosh on a lot of the scouting recommendations
Kinnear said word for word in his filmed interview with Toffee TV after last summer that Moyes 'rejects 99%' of the suggested players.

Complete joke, all that means is the scouting department just keep throwing players at him until he says yes to one. Essentially rendering any of their thoughts, process and expertise useless.

Also a few sources (Bobble etc) saying that Moyes has a very 'unique' approach to players in that once he likes a player, he is just obsessed with them forever no matter what.

Which is basically the opposite quality to what you want in someone heading up your transfers - stubborn, overly certain of their own opinions and unwilling to take on board new or contrary information that might go against his preconceptions.

Works well when you are the entire footballing setup of a club for a very long time, so your needs are basically all that matters, but absolutely crap in most situations (including our current one)

Wouldn't be surprised if that's all partially why we're keeping our powder dry this jan

Dont they ever have meetings together to discuss the calibre of players he actually wants so they can identify them and see who might be available?

This would explain why he won't give players like Aznou a game too as he's obsessed with their weaknesses to such a point he can't look at their strengths so prefers a mediocre yet more solid performer in Mykolenko
