I don’t think it’s overreaction. We’ve been promised for a long time the transformational impact of the stadium and how much better things will be. We’ve won 4 games out of 11 at home and are playing dour football with a manger who makes negative decision after negative decision. People are well within their rights to be frustrated. I’d hope the Friedkins are similarly annoyed at the approach of the manager.

They aren't TFG excuses, they're Everton excuses that have been in place for more than 26 years. The PL team in the TFG portfolio is Everton.

If anything a January in World Cup year is probably the best time for it as there will be players wanting to get a place in their national teams.

He means that he and the owners have an understanding that he'll manage resources wisely and that he wants what they want: a tight run ship without that much spending from now on.
