January Transfer Window 2026

Some loanees have a loan fee attached, some don't, some pay full wages, some pay % wages.

Please show me where we gave City £15m for Grealish and are not paying any of his wages.

If youre determined to go down the route of utter lunacy (or mischief making) then perhaps you could add in agent fees for the players on the list as well.

I thought the loan fee was knocked on the head and we took a brunt of the wages.

Its either

£15mil + 75% of wages which are added and paid to City.

Or a straight £15mil.

I cant believe that we'd do the first as it would be insane so took the latter.

Zat, you stated something as fact, I simply asked for evidence, why are you always like this.

Your wumming knows no bounds.

Weve paid a £15mil fee to City. Thats fact but youre free to use google to disprove this.

We also paid a £6-8mil fee for Zouma which, again you are free to use google to dispute.

Ive listed the published fees from reputable sources for the players signed.

Theres nothing in there to argue about as ive not even included add ons.

I just cant see any business being done in January.

It's going to be a long month for those who think there will be.

The owners will look at where we're likely to be in January, which will be at best just out of the Euro places running, and save their cash.

If I were them I'd be reckoning that we have a squad that can get us top half and that would be the task Ild set this manager getting us by the end of the season.

Next summer will see the changes we all want.

Well this is where it gets interesting as we hage FOUR first team goalkeepers

Pickford
Travers
King
Tyrer

We signed Travers (£4mil) and King (undisclosed) in the summer and of course Tyrer was the subject of a £1mil bid.

I think Tyrer would have been the clear 3rd choice option and I wouldnt have signed the other 2.

For the 2nd choice I'd have gone for a keeper who looked like he could:

A: Be capable of rotating with Pickford or stepping in for him in case of injury

B: Add quality experience or a young player to develop

C: Zero fee for anyone who wasnt A & B.

I think Kayode is a decent, quick and strong right back, good all rounder and we could have had him for £14mil last January.
You clearly have a lot more knowledge and contacts than I do so I can’t argue on whether these players were close to signing or not.

On the keeper point then I don’t know any keepers who fitted that bill so again can’t really argue.

I did read that Tyrer was subject to interest c. 500k but nothing formalised. Again I don’t have the knowledge so can’t disagree! If true then I’d have certainly cashed in, this needing x2 keepers!
