January Transfer Window 2026

Can't wait to see the new right back and striker we unveil next week — definitely straight into the starting XI. The club has known about the issue and its urgency for months years already (literally), and with money available it's a certainty that at least two new players will be revealed as soon as the transfer window opens.

So excited, we can finally push for Europe, especially since we're somehow reasonably placed in the league and a player capable of slotting half of the open goals that those two clowns miss we have at present should easily fire us up the table.

That said, if these two positions aren't suitably filled then it's clear the club isn't interested in a push for Europe any time soon.
Spot on mate. Kinnear was on a fan channel in Sept saying we would only recruit in Jan due to injury or under performance. Well if the club don't class our full backs and strikers as underperforming then there is no hope

They do make wank signings as well by the way. And are below us in the league. No idea why people think they’re immaculate.
Agree that they have made some stinking transfers also. And clubs at that level always will but in general for a long time. Their transfer strategy has been brilliant. Not a chance on earth they leave themselves without a right back for 5 years anyway

I'm with you all the way but don't forget about dithering Dave, I don't expect any movement early in the transfer market just yet.

Would you still not have Wesley or Kayode at RB? The 2 available last January who i wanted.

Wesley actually turned down by Moyes.

They look pretty good now.

Robinson & Tete would be by nightmare signings.

29 & 30 years old at the beginning of next season with fees & wages across 3 or 4 year deals.

Stuck with 2 depreciating 'liabilities' (not assets) preventing spending in other areas who would be appreciating assets.

Then when you look across the players in the favoured team by Moyes they are the oldest in the league. We shouldnt add to it.

I think this is ultra short termism which i wouldnt favour.
Kayode gets the press for his throw ins if you watch him defend he is only ok for me, but there is scope for improvement, and tbh I don't know enough about Wesley.

Correct. Before making a signing we should ask ourselves ‘would Brighton do this transfer’ and if the answer is no. Move on

With Bournemouth, I wanted Truffert in at LB last January and he was linked under Thelwell. Think he cost them under £15mil.

He's now 24 but theyre an interesting one as they went with 3 young defenders last season in Zabarnyi (another i mentioned) Huijsen and Kerkez. PSG, Madrid & RS now.

Milosaveljavic is playing CB for them and hes only 18. Very interesting recruitment and polar opposite to ours.

Brentford have Kayode who I also wanted last January.

Today i'd expect Truffert and Kayode to cost the best part of £60mil.

Not saying im a wonderful scout as some think i believe, just that these were quite obvious signings we needed.

The Welsh youtuber who comes up with tactics (cant remember his name) picked out Givairo Read from Feyenoord. I'd consider him as one of 2 RB signings.

Kinnear best be at it the moment it opens

Moyes now has hand picked people to join the management.

He's the decision maker with Kinnear only signing off on deals once Hammond negotiates the terms.

Eyes are on Moyes.

I’d say sign a couple of 29/30 year olds and a 25+ year old, hopefully creep into Europe and then you can afford your 45m on your Diblings and phase them into a functioning team.

Imagine how much better we’d look with Robinson and Tete as full backs for example.

It would actually let Dibling himself acclimatise quicker as well as he’d have an overlap.

More u21s are pointless until the team is functional in every spot.
Under 21’s are pointless while Moyes is here. There’s no point having welch and cambell on the bench

For me, Kayode is quick and strong. Could have been moulded by Moyes.

Wesley is probably Roma's best attacker from full back and probably the equal of Soule & Kone this season in terms of quality.
