January Transfer Window 2026

Just feels we will be caught short this season just dont have enough quality in this squad to rotate. Is still a key window for us in jan, just hope the club have players ready to move for
Caught short how? That we'll get relegated? Not a cat in hells chance. The table is wild at the moment which is putting us at mid table.

Caught short as being relegated or caught short not making Europe ? Surley the latter? (Of the two)

We need another wide attacking player because Grealish hasn't been playing well for months, McNeil is crap and doesn't look arsed, and the likes of Alcaraz are no good there.

If we lost Ndiaye for the rest of the season we'd barely win a game.

Someone like Richarlison would be ideal really, because he can fill in at several positions and contribute.

Depends on what is available TBF, funds could also be raised from the sale or loans of McNeil, Beto and Patterson... we have numbers but not sure all are the required level to take us forward and Gueye is coming to an end.

When a decent player comes along cheap I think you've got to move.

We are well stacked in centre mid:

Gueye
Garner
Iroegbunam
Röhl
Alcaraz
Dewsbury-Hall

Plus we’ll have Armstrong coming back in the summer.

There’s no way we could justify spending money on Gallagher when we have massive issues at RB, LB and up top.
I’m not as confident mate, of those six, Gana, is coming to the end of his career, Rohl, we have no idea if he will click or not (or even stay for for that matter), Moyes doesnt seem to like Charly, so its only really KDH, Garner and Iroegbunam. I agree with you about the FB’s and striker, but we shouldnt turn our noses up at an quality player who is being sold for reasonable money.

Can't wait to see the new right back and striker we unveil next week — definitely straight into the starting XI. The club has known about the issue and its urgency for months years already (literally), and with money available it's a certainty that at least two new players will be revealed as soon as the transfer window opens.

So excited, we can finally push for Europe, especially since we're somehow reasonably placed in the league and a player capable of slotting half of the open goals that those two clowns miss we have at present should easily fire us up the table.

That said, if these two positions aren't suitably filled then it's clear the club isn't interested in a push for Europe any time soon.

With the shortcomings of this squad having been fully exposed, and with us limping through the season, Moyes should have a list of players ready to sign on January 1st. I expect no signings for at least 2 weeks.
