He played over 100 times for us. He averaged about 7 good games a season, when he felt like turning up. He is not an example of a top Everton striker in my opinion.

Gallagher is better than Garner. Garner has been great this season but been a nothing player before that. He may become better than Gallagher but isn’t there yet.

As for comparing Gallagher to Doucoure that’s insane.

Garner is better than Gallagher.

But if we had him as a team option than we would be looking at a tasty, tidy midfield. factor Armstrong into that and we wouldn't be complaining.

Theres a lack of good ST around it seems, I can see a RB and another back Up LB until the new lad gets up to speed but be amazed if we sign a decent ST.

The CEO has already told us as much if you read between the lines.

That said we surely must have enough to bring in a RB on loan and perhaps do the swop deal of Beto for the Roma striker.

You might want to revisit the goal or check your eyesight as that was not a scuffed goal , his output has been disappointing but the one goal he did score was excellent, it was very well timed shot that avoided the approaching goalkeeper.

Are we seriously comparing Delap and Barry? My problem with Barry is I have nothing to compare...a hard shot on goal? A successful dribble? A header on target? Im actually being serious...i dont remember any of that except the scuffed goal he scored. Help me out

When I’ve watched Gallagher, I’ve never been impressed with him from a technical point of view. Feel he’s not so great on the ball and gives it away cheaply at times.
You can’t argue about his energy and non stop running though.

Garner this season is testament to Moyes and his staff, he looked lost since we signed him, very inconsistent and not sure what his role was. They have clearly been coaching him and he has been excellent this season and looks like he knows what he is doing. I do like Gallagher too though.

When someone has to bring out stats you know they have lost the argument.

Barry is awful and no stat can change that, Delap is miles better.
