To me it makes sense to have a new manager sign off on it

He’s a significant upgrade on everything we have and no manager is going to say no to better players.

Don't get me wrong, I agree on the assessment of the player, but I tend to think we are repeating mistakes of the past if we don't have the new manager at least give it the "OK"

For instance - what if Bielsa thinks he can't/won't press? It'd be a waste of the little cash we have

But they might prefer someone else., think that another position is more of a priority, or not play a system that suits them. Having a DoF should theoretically mean that isn't an issue, but we know that isn't how it works here.

So Marseille are hoping to include Dieng + cash.

Or Everton may pay for Dieng so Marseille would have extra funds for Moffi.
