Both are only short term solutions imo, they both lack pace which then causes problems further up the pitch, it should really be one or the other but none of our other CB are good enough to step in. Don't know anything about Porteus tbh.

Not sure that's a massive issue myself. Some amazing defences have been slow. Hell, Leicester won the league with Huth and Wes Morgan.

IMO we need genuine quality in during this window, we had the steady eddies or `solid PL players` in during the last window and it hasn`t improved us that much....
We need genuine quality and that is hard to come by in the January window which is why I think any signings will come in the last 10 days or so, that may be too late for Lampard if we follow the pattern of games we saw before the WC.
