He's totally right. We need more people in the media to start pointing blame at Thelwell. Maybe he's doing great work restructuring the administrative roles, but the most important part of his job is recruiting. Signing attackers this summer was a high stakes, crucial decision, and he has spectacularly failed. McNeil and Mapauy cost a decent wedge.

We have to get a playmaker in. There was a stat somewhere that we won possession of Brighton 7 times in their third of the pitch and they won it 0 times in ours yet scored 4. We don’t have the quality to make the most of those opportunities. Winning the ball back that many times in that area of the pitch should lead to goals- but it isn’t, so that is clearly a weakness.

Said this about a month a go we are relying on the likes of Iwobi and Gray too much neither are consistent. We need a playmaker desperately as well as threat whether that's pace or ariel
