Everton set to 'hijack' Mislav Orsic deal

Everton are reportedly set to hijack a deal for Dinamo Zagreb winger Mislav Orsic and the Croatia international could be the ideal signing for Frank Lampard at Goodison Park.

That’s the problem , which probably sums up our mismanagement.

We can’t really buy anyone because we might be sacking the manager in a week but the manager needs players to have any chance of winning games . If we sack the manager we obviously can’t buy players until we appoint a new manager and see what style /direction he’s looking to pursue .

The manager shouldn't have that big a say on the players though if this DoF is working correctly. The DoF should get an idea of what's lacking from the squad and manager then draw up a list of players to boost it.

The new manager is already having to use a squad he's not been used to, so bringing in new players shouldn't effect it. IMO

That’s the theory around DofF but that should see us recruiting managers who have a similar philosophy. Does the follow when allegedly Martinez and dyche are on a shortlist? They couldn’t be more different

I think Orsic would have improved us. It’s a shame we have let him go to Southampton. No worries, we can always do another fake bid for Kudus in a couple of weeks time.
