I respectfully disagree. The only thing I would mark against him was the awful, awful decision to bring that Spanish Kopite in as manager. In Lampard and Kevin Thelwell we have a good foundation to start to build. It needs time. Chopping and changing managers is the worst thing that could happen at this point.

guise? You mean have I been here before? No I was asked that on my new signings post. I didn't even know this forum existed until my son mentioned it. He's a Derby fan and he uses their forum and he recommended I should give an Everton one a try as I used use Twitter to debate but since Musk took over I deleted my account. Why do you ask? Appreciate we have to slag off everything the club does - but recalling Simms is the right thing to do as we need more options.

Yes, they shouldn't have loaned in the first place.

Our league position shows we are a bit desperate so I'm not sure that Simms really affects negotiations - other than adding another card to our hand.

Constantly buying players when we are desperate is what helps gets us in this mess - Alli, Iwobi, Tosun, Rondon etc.

Simms has scored 7 in 17 in Championship - not awful - not as good as Gyokeres but they both play at the same level.

Not sure overpaying for a championship player in Jan is smart.

But loaning / buying a PL level attacker is a must too.

Simms goal per minute ratio is in fact a lot better than Gyokeres. He’s younger and costs us nothing, probably much more sensible decision than signing Gyokeres.

We have never signed the right players in the right positions. I think we would all agree attackers/goalscorers is clearly what we need and we need it ASAP.

There are no rumours of anything imminent that I am aware of yet plenty of clubs have already deals announced. Considering we needed forwards in July, and this club's transfer record, I think its delusional to think we know what we are doing and have a plan

I repeatedly said all summer we were a shambles for not prioritising forwards. You called me negative..... a lot. But the proof is in the pudding.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is being allowed to leave Chelsea in this window, according to rumours.... For me, him coupled with Gueye and Onana would be a decent midfield allowing Iwobi to be more creative further forward...
