Several prem clubs already have transfers sorted for 1st January meanwhile we are still probably dithering on whether to pay over the odds for either gykores or brereton diaz because every club knows how desperate we are to sign a striker

Agree we never act swiftly we dither and delay usually to save on wages. Yet we have scored twelve goals this season if we don't make quality additions in forward areas that hit the ground running we are going down. Honestly the way we are run like it's still 1998, the chickens are coming home to roost

We spent £30m on Onana, and for a club like ourselves in our position we need a player who is a bit more of the finished article, I fully understand why West Ham pulled out of bidding for him.

No it's not, they were in for him same as us but pulled out because they wouldn't pay his wage demands. Doesn't change the fact that we overspent on him which was the original point that was being made.

I’d say we need more/better.

Issue is can we afford or attract better in our position? I think the second player needs to be more of a winger/wide forward, Diaz isn't that for me even though he plays off a flank
