I think if you signed wood in January he would certainly help get you enough ground out 1-0 wins to be well clear of the bottom of the table come the end of the season. I'm not sure what calibre of player you expect to be signing come January, but you won't be getting a silky smooth striker who's going to be banging them in week-in-week-out, you need to be realistic, and get workmen in to do the job at hand, or face the consequence of being too choosey.

We already have enough strikers that score 3 a season thanks, we’re alright for them. It’s kind of why we are where we are but thanks for your concern.
