Signing Gana made sense.

We needed a new midfield immediately and Gana was a cheap option who already knew the club and the league.



Of course, we need to look out for the best young talent around, but they don't all succeed either and sometimes they can block the path for the young players in the academy.



If there was an easy fix then I think every club would already be doing it, not just

And I'm sure Gana was only 2 or 3m.

I'm afraid I disagree. What is it they say, never go back? This isn’t even a quick fix, he’s been poor and well off the pace imo.

I certainly agree that he has not been great so far, but then I think the expectations were too high for him and I think he was being asked to play a role that doesn't suit him... that is the midfielder who controls the game and sets up play rather than the player we know who is best breaking up play and then letting the ball to someone else to do the clever stuff.

I do think he will have a better second half to the season, I think he may settle better and I hope his role will change.
In Premiership terms he was signed for peanuts that allowed us to bring in Garner and Onana as well. More than anything we need a player that can create, we tried for Gibbs-White and Kudus, if we get someone like that I think we will see a much better Everton.

Depressing but amusing we are shopping around trying to replace Maupay and McNeil a few months after buying them. It’s mistakes like that that go unnoticed by the media that set us back another transfer window, probably more due to the wage burden.

If we’d spent that summer money on Gyokores and literally any young speedy championship winger instead we’d maybe have a only a couple more points, but at least we wouldn’t need to be buying players in Jan to fill the same holes again and again and again. And we’d have a couple of players that won’t be hanging round doing sod all for the next 3 years.

I don't think that is correct.
I think we are still trying to replace Gibbs-White or Kudus.

It wouldn't be usually but he's always dropping hints about our targets he also tweeted about Gakpo and united so who knows

No strong rumours about about at the moment, which means one of two things....

1 - We have solved all the leaks from within the club surrounding player recruitment.

2 - We aren`t making any moves or bids...

I certainly don`t think we will be signing anyone ready to go when the window opens. I hope I`m wrong but Everton don`t do things to give themselves the best chance.

The club will no doubt throw away the next 3/4 games like in the summer.

Probably because most of these "links" to unrealistic players come from random jokers who make it all up for twitter likes and tabloid clicks, before they inevitably get regurgitated all over the forum as credible.

The ace hand is with the selling club in this window. They are generally not after a quick sale, they want an expensive sale.

Initially it was quite amusing, I’ve got to give him props.

However after a couple of those incoherent horrendous ramblings usually in response to his own previous posts he should have been dealt with!

The pinnacle was suggesting we should sign Ronaldo and Benzima to play up top, and pay them a million a week each!

Oh what a time to have been alive. It’s like we lived through a true historic moment..
