Has it not dawned on any of you yet that there is no money until we sell players?

We saw this on deadline day

I've come round to this now mate. After the good start to the window I was ever hopeful but still cautious as we'd brought in Lukaku sale funds and bits and bobs from other sales to get players in. Looked very much like we were reliant on Barkley sale to fund a late attempt at getting a striker and possibly a defender. Its difficult to see it any other way unfortunately. We're woefully short on quality in 2 or 3 key areas I'd say. Really disappointing and a reality check no question!

I wouldn't mind atalanta's andrea petagna. he's not much of a goal scoring machine at the minute, but he will get better , is a big lad and I think would do well in the prem.

But, he's their captain and I doubt they'd be open to selling him halfway through the season.

Funnily enough Clark has been better and he is left footed. Was so mediocre for Villa though.

If I'm living in a fantasy world, and could have anyone at the moment to replace Lukaku, it would be Ciro Immobile. He has been absolutely flying in Serie A for Lazio.
