Niasse and Martina are, in effect, free agents now and able to talk to any prospective new employer.
The chances of us getting a fee for one, either or both this month are negligible due to their current wages with us.
Chances are both will happily sit out and take the money till the end of their Everton contracts.

Pay 'em up and let them go. There is no point to having them here is there? Other than being warm bodies in case of an asteroid strike hitting some actual players that will actually play in the next few months.

And they want to ship out Rodriguez for a pittance. That's the kind of player we should buy to pad out the squad, cheap talents. Our main issue in spending large fees on players like Walcott and iwobi is that people couldn't even say they'd be a definite starter, it felt like they weren't even bought for that.

Someone fairly similar to Aarons, and probably availible for around 8m would be Jayden Bogle at Derby,
Probably physically better than Max Aarons, but his positioning and defensive work isnt as good as Aarons
Still needs abit of fine tuning but could be a rough diamond

Looking at teams that may go down, Bournemouth in Josh King and Ryan Fraser could be worth a hit. Not world beaters but an improvement on Walcott. Norwich have no one of interest and Villa will lose Grealish who I can give or take personally and not sure who else they have of interest

I have to be honest I find very few of Norwich players interesting at all. Aarons and Cantwell would be fine as punts but they're looking for 25m+
