He's an extremely highly rated young defender.

He's been playing at RB for Barnsley but he's really a CB. He's got bags of pace & is 6ft plus.

Scouts from all over have been watching him this season.

Barnsley tied him down to a new contract a few months back, so he won't come cheap.

I think there are a lot of clubs with an interest in Butland not just them.

Butland would be crazy to sign for the ****e & play second fiddle to Reina, when he's a first choice at Birmingham.

He should hold off & wait for the chance to move to a PL club who's looking for a No.1.

They would be happy to move reina on I think although more likely in the summer

Says he's a right back. Don't see the point in signing another one. Need to fill other positions first

....only played once for a struggling side this season, so agree this would be one for the future. I think the initial outlay would have to be small but there will be add ons if he ever breaks through.

Wasnt we interested in him in the summer or was that just paper/internet talk?. Agree though, would be an ideal signing, can play uptop or wide, pacey and been on fire for Bordeaux this season and contract runs out next summer.

Young RB at Barnsley, 18 i think he is and big lad for his age already. Can play CB aswell i think and apparently been doing well considering Barnsley have been playing shtie!.

Heard we'd been watching Byram of Leeds aswell, another 18 year old RB who's been doing well.
