Leicester (h) 1 January

Bournemouth (h) 13 January

Southampton (a) 19 January

Huddersfield (a) 29 January

An all in all more relaxed month coming up, with an FA Cup 3rd round home fixture thrown in on the 5th at home to Lincoln.

There's no reason we can't gain all 12 points this month, while two of our games are away, they are against the dross of the league.
Also no reason why we should not be progressing in the cup.
Thought it was agreed a ban was to be dished out for a thread like this.

The cup MUST be the priority. If Silva doesn’t play a full strength team vs Lincoln, it will lose him a great deal of support amongst the fans, irrespective of the outcome. We all want a run to get excited about and the FA Cup is just that. The league cup could have been too!

Whether we finish 7th or 11th to me isn’t really of any concern. I’d see both as equally uninspiring. From these league fixtures I think we’ll get 6 points. Top 6 teams would expect 10-12. That’s the gap we need to bridge and it’s going to be a long-burn.

In the short term, we have a team capable of a good cup-run and should take every opportunity to do just that.

Leicester nailed on loss.

Bournemouth will be a vastly improved performance and a 1-1 draw after their keeper puts in a MOTM display.

Southampton will wait until our game to really click under the new guy and give us a walloping.

Huddersfield will be a vastly improved performance and a 1-1 draw after their keeper puts in a MOTM display.

We’ll beat Lincoln in the cup and breathe a collective sigh of relief when we get drawn away to a struggling League One outfit. We will lose that game.

Overall, January will score 8 “Everton, that”’s out of 10.

On the bright side, my prediction has got off to a flyer.
