Just as many are very negative, I am very positive. There's nothing wrong with that and considering the games we have coming up there's no reason we shouldn't be targeting maximum points. It's not as if these are games against the top six. I just don't accept that a thread on a website can in any way change results of a football match, you'd have to be seriously narcissistic to even consider that.

Leicester apart from a little revival are not great. I think they'll be too tired from the xmas schedule and we will beat them.
Bournemouth are terrible, there for the taking. We will take the three points, thank you very much.
Southampton, come on! After a small new manager bounce they are back to being Southampton.
Huddersfield, if we can't maul these then we should pack up and go home.

What level are we dropping to when people are considering us barely getting results against these dross? Calling for thread starters to be banned, you should be ashamed to wear the badge.

did you sleep through December?

It's fine being positive but there is no point in being unrealistic. Only one side out of the 20 has won their last 4 games and they are sitting top of the league:

There are several flawed assessments in your post in my opinion. Bournemouth being terrible is the first one. Huddersfield were terrible - we drew. Southampton away will be difficult for 2 reasons. Firstly we haven't won any of our last 8 visits to the South Coast, and secondly we have a dismal away record. Games aren't won by just being ahead of someone in the league table as you know.

Finally your last point about Huddersfield has probably been said many times on here about other sides and we will have failed to beat them. We have no right for misplaced arrogance and dismissal of sides lower than us. Anyone is capable of beating anyone on this league. Except of course Everton coming up against a top 6 side. Then it's a guarantee that we will not win.

Leicester (h) 1 January

Bournemouth (h) 13 January

Southampton (a) 19 January

Huddersfield (a) 29 January

An all in all more relaxed month coming up, with an FA Cup 3rd round home fixture thrown in on the 5th at home to Lincoln.

There's no reason we can't gain all 12 points this month, while two of our games are away, they are against the dross of the league.
Also no reason why we should not be progressing in the cup.
I have a reason that we can't get 12 points... We are pants.

Stop it now!!!!

Everton and expectation-optimism just don't marry.

12 points available, and I will go for 4 maximum.

;)

Leicester nailed on loss.

Bournemouth will be a vastly improved performance and a 1-1 draw after their keeper puts in a MOTM display.

Southampton will wait until our game to really click under the new guy and give us a walloping.

Huddersfield will be a vastly improved performance and a 1-1 draw after their keeper puts in a MOTM display.

We’ll beat Lincoln in the cup and breathe a collective sigh of relief when we get drawn away to a struggling League One outfit. We will lose that game.

Overall, January will score 8 “Everton, that”’s out of 10.
