January 2019 Transfer Window

It's like we're a business still running on Windows 95 computers but aren't prepared to upgrade until we can get a buyer to pay us at least 75% of their RRP at 1997 prices.

I don't want us to throw money at the problem without thinking it through, but I do want us to be making progress this window. Moving forward, not backward. Upward, not forward. And always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom.

Not buying any players IS moving forward.

....it’s the 24th day of this January transfer window, which means we have just one week left. Here’s Thursday morning’s Toffee transfer rumours;

- Football London report Crystal Palace are 5/2 favourites to sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun this month after a stream of bets on the move.

- The Mirror says Everton may have beaten off big money interest in midfielder, Idrissa Gueye, after PSG turned their attention to Argentinian international Leandro Paredes. The 24 year old is expected to move for £35m from Zenit St Petersburg. The Liverpool Echo, however, suggest PSG are still interested in Gueye.

- La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid, are looking to send 23 year old winger, Gelson Martins, on loan and according to Chronicle: Everton, Arsenal and Newcastle are battling for his signature. The player is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and it is believed Newcastle are in the driving seat to acquire him.

lol

Wouldn't expect too many sales in January... The month where most clubs aren't looking to do much business. Summer is when the big changes will happen and although the Footie is gash at the moment, I'm happy to wait and give Brands and Silva a full pre season to get the people in/out they want. We can't really afford to mess this up again. Massive summer ahead.
