Seems totally valid to me. If its a loan with no option then it's very short term thinking. If we continue to do that we'll have less and less top players to sell at a later date.

Januzaj is a good player, no doubt, and would fill the gap left by Eto'o. But do we really want to help out Man Utd by getting their starlet match sharp for the Champions League next season, because as far as I can see that's all that we'd be doing. If the loan works out, United will want him back, and we probably wouldn't be able to afford to buy him anyway.

I'm not happy with that aspect of it either but if we can't or wont buy someone and he fires us into the CL through the Europa would we complain. A 6 month loan suits both clubs but generally I'm not a fan of loans.

The same people would have no problem with sending Ledson or Garbutt on loan to a Championship side to get first team football and develop though

Actually it's the 6 month ones I don't mind. The year ones are the ones I don't approve of however saying that I was windmilling when we got Lukaku.

I suppose it just highlights the fact we aren't a big club now.
