Under those circumstances would you really be bothered we'd helped UTD out with giving them back a better player?

Normally it's not something that bothers me, but normally there's at least some hope that the player will end up staying with us. And normally we'd be scrapping for European places and every point counts. Don't get me wrong, I still think Januzaj coming in would be a breath of fresh air, but if you accept that we won't be winning Europa and we won't be qualifying for Europe this season, maybe we should be investing in the future instead ?

It's common sence if we don't sign players it's our scruffy chairman and Martinez knows he's got to sell in the summer or he's only got money in summer. Still il watch transfer deadline day later like a beaut getting exited at all other clubs signing players.

He wants to wait till the summer to see if we win the Europa league and to see what teams actually get top 4. There's no guarantee Spurs who are the ones interested in him will.
