I don't really see how us loaning him out would give us enough money to get someone else in. Him and Eto'o out and nobody in would be very odd.

Quite right. If we're getting the older players who are paid well off the budget then fair enough. Eto'o and Pienaar alone would save us £100k per week. Add Howard, Distin and Alcaraz to that at the end of the year and it's close to another £100k. We'd have to promote some youths though.

That's the worry.

You'd think that Sociadad would only want Pienaar of he was fit enough to play. Otherwise what's the point? So, with that in mind he's probably fit enough to play for us.

But if he goes he goes. But we have to get people in to replace them. And I'm just not sure we will!
