Gutter press saying we are only in for konoplyanka if Mirallas is sold. It's blatant that we need another winger without offloading one. Need to do business in this window without losing any of the first 11.

I'm sure the echo said recently that Martinez wants a left sided midfielder, which Konoplyanka is. He would compliment Mirallas brilliantly, both can keep on changing sides aswell. I hope there's some truth in the Konoplyanka rumours right now.

Baffles me why some fans can't resist passing their verdict on transfer windows well before they've closed - you'd have thought they'd have learned from seeing Everton do so much of their business on the final day in previous windows. Not that I'm expecting any great burst of activity this time though ...

Despite the negativity, I'd be very surprised if we have no ins.

Eto'o leaving pretty much guarantees a signing a replacement this window, for me.

I'm not so confident we'll sign a new keeper, winger or centre-back, though.

Not confident as such. But it will look like madness if we lose one player and dont replace him given the situation we're in. I think some business looks likely.

The last few days of the window are really the only time to start moving for clubs in our position, so I wouldn't write this window off at all yet.

Given how well stocked we are in other departments, this presumably means we'll be getting some new ball boys and a kit man.

He's certainly an upgrade on McGeady, imagine him and Mirallas on the wings?
